Almost all ports, power generating stations, mines, fertilizer and chemical facilities are connect to rail for the transport of product in or out. We service all of these industries.
The scope of the rail in these facilities include industrial rail loops, rail spurs, and rail switch yards. The rail interconnects with rail car loading, rail car unloading, track scales, thaw shed and other components of the overall facility.
Rail loading may include batch car loading with rates of 10,000 tph and accuracy of loading of 1 percent. Rail unloading may be rotary car dump or in-motion rapid car unloading.
Millcreek Engineering’s capabilities with the rail industry and rail design allows us to integrate the scope of the entire project. We can coordinate the rail routing, grades and lines, access and crossings to optimize the entire facility arrangement.
Our engineering capability provides for the complete detailed design, equipment and construction specifications, and on-site construction management; all per AREA and railroad standards.
